Your University, One Photo at a Time

Meet Miller, also known as the Adam Smith Building Cat. I’ve featured Miller several times before, but here’s a heads up to all the new students at the University of Glasgow.Miller is the most famous cat on campus, and can be found prowling the campus on warm sunny days and warming up inside the Adam Smith Building during the colder months, usually by the radiators in the smaller staircase.

If you see him around and approach him, he might let you pet him. He’s quite docile (and getting old), so be nice to him.

  1. That’s a fantastic portrait. What a star.

But, er, are you sure Miller is a boy?

    • When I took this picture we met Miller’s neighbour who referred to Miller as a “he”. Apparently Miller has some close friends who live with or near him, they just don’t like to wander as much as Miller does.

  2. I just remember having this conversation a number of times with one student insistent Miller was a boy, and the rest of us pointing out ‘his’ lack of obvious boy bits ;).

Maybe he’s just modest and a model of decorum :)
